As far as donations, right now I cannot think of any one organization that I would endorse which is set up specifically for JW child sex assault victims. Most legal cases are handled on a contingency basis, meaning that the lawyers don’t charge a fee unless they win. I don’t know of a charity that is meant for medical costs or costs of therapy for JW victims alone, although it’s a great idea that I might run by a few fellow activists.

What I might suggest is consider other organizations that assist abuse victims of all sorts, such as RAINN, NoMore, 1in6, and the Bristlecone project. The last two are for male sexual assault victims in particular. I haven’t done extensive research about them and their charitable statuses but I do use their websites for reference material and other information. You can also visit my page of organizations that help victims (here) and note if any of those organizations appeal to you. I hope that helps and want to say I think it’s wonderful that you want to help in such a way.

I’m sorry if a first name basis bothers you, but I feel as though a common hatred of pedophilia is deserving of a first-name basis in itself. And, in regards to that, I thank you for what you do.
I ask that, if at all possible, you reference links to donate to any causes involving sexual assault (adults and juveniles) against “Jehovah’s” Witnesses.
It’s just that I’d like to be able to assist in legal and medical costs, despite my limited funds, because of knowing where they’re coming from in both the “victim” and ‘JW” sense, and I realize the fear they would have on all fronts. I can’t always research things as thoroughly as I’d like, being married to someone raised a JW, and I’d like to have a reliable source for placing funds under my husband’s nose.
-Barbara

Claiming someone has sins is keeping the congregation clean, but if it’s their sins then it is a person causing divisions. In other words, person A and B and C must bring their false accusations as three witnesses of brother D so that they can excommunicate D and call it purging the flock to be clean, not creating a division with D. BUT then if person D and E and F come back with proof of innocence to show ABC lied, then that proof is a causing of division among the flock and is why they are now out. It does not use Jehovah’s eyes to see truth. It insists that killing all men of Shechem was for Jacob and for Jehovah, it even wants Dinah killed if she isn’t an elder’s daughter to excuse. AND it kills the man whose woman was raped to death by others of the flock, because he xposed the flock to the whole world when he cut her into 12 pieces to show 12 tribes that they have perverts in their halls. Yep cover the rape over, and the murder, and legally execute the master who exposed them by sending pieces out to the world.

How on earth they come to the conclusion that personal-sexual orientation somehow is a repesentitive for the nature of any crime, is beyond me. Not to mention it is definitely degrading and generalizing a sensitive side of the community which has now been accepted into our society. Just… I don’t even know where their brains are at right now. Once again, thank you for posting this article, Alex. I’ll be sure to spread news locally with printing the flyers off and sticking them up!:)

Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

What I don’t understand is why lawyers and authorities are not calling them out for these obvious lies – how can they make such videos public and yet no authorities dare to request their silence? Where are the judges that have found JWs guilty of hiding pedophiles and re-abusing victims (all based on their policies) – these authorities KNOW this org is lying. Why doesn’t anyone, except us and the victims, say anything?

I hope you’re having a good day, Author Alex James!

I managed to run into a Jehovah Witness who is heavily influenced – not brainwashed but the religion has a serious effect on her. She exhibits the same type of speech and lack for individual thinking throughout my conversation with her. Funny enough, she isn’t anywhere near as polite as I was and she even stated I trash talked her belief, what a joke. Anyhow, I’ll just post some quotes here and explain briefly just so some people can understand just how heavily influenced these people are.

My original comment in full form: “How about you re-look what the scriptures say? If what you are saying is true, which it is NOT by the way, why have Jehovah Witnesses left the religion after being raped and victimized and blamed for the occurance of their rape? Women have been abused and they are supposed to be submissive apparantly and just take the hits.

May I refer you to: http://jwvictims.org/2013/12/22/because-who-cares-how-the-children-are-affected-by-violence-and-abuse-thats-why/

in response to the following comment she posted earlier:

“We don’t condone it actually. Get your facts right and don’t believe everything you see on the internet. In fact if anyone did that they’d be disfellowshipped (not that a REAL Jehovah’s Witness would do that anyway)”

Now I will say the guy who posted the original comment may have been snarky but he is fully entitled to his own opinion, not even one sentence later she is already bashing him with an aggressive tone and wording. Is this how you love your neighbour? Good grief! So by this you can already see in full form how she is an aggressive and not a nice person at all, but she calms down later; not that it excuses her behavior though, it’s completely unchristian-like and it’s nothing but bitter and venom to anyone not in the truth, which is extremely common. This had occured more than twice in my experience.

“That’s just too bad for you. If you don’t want to come back to Jehovah’s organization, then that’s your own decision. But no one forces the bible down anyone’s throats. And even if it “seemed” that way, whoever was doing it wanted the best for you and you were just too stubborn to see it.”

This is half of the comment she replied to mine with, as stated above; this right here is EXACTLY what is wrong with the belief system in the jehovah’s witness. Not only did she give mixed signals such as declaring that it is my own decision to not join their religion, fair enough, but instead leaving at that she continued to turn on that by saying “and even if it seemed that way, whoever was doing it wanted the best for you and you were too stubborn to see it.” I made sure to set her straight that through my personal experience, which is fact and not opinion, is the likely hood of me being emotionally abused is VERY high. Infact, I even followed the chain-of-command which I now have to change even after I left the truth, and it’s not easy it is very very difficult. I’m used to putting Jehovah first, Elders second, parents third, other religious people fourth and myself last. I noticed I am ALWAYS putting myself last and that wasn’t because of choice, but that is because of their chain-of-command system and how it works. Then I can bet they will scream “HONOUR THY MOTHER AND FATHER!” Indeed, don’t rape or kill your parents, but don’t let them assume full control over your adult life, which is what has/is happening to me.

” I have heard no where of Jehovah’s Witnesses being raped and abused. It just doesn’t make sense? Why would we of all people do that? Something isn’t right.”

Here we see how ignorant she really is. She admits to never hearing any of these cases, I wonder why. I can bet she is just scrolling through videos and not even listening or paying attention to the news and sorts. This is how she is heavily influenced. I don’t think I need to say anymore, you can find numerous amount of proof of the two witnesses who were raped and never helped, except by the state.

And finally, the last piece of detail: “I just can’t stand it when someone trash talks my beliefs.” judge what I said in my original comment for yourself, see if I was the prick, aggressive attitude who bullied her. I didn’t, I informed and kept polite and formal, and she didn’t like it, not one bit.

As for this rant? I felt like I needed to do it, to share my experience and hopefully it will be of some use or evidence for other people to realize how heavy their influence is. Ultimately I do believe there is a god and jesus, but I don’t think they revolve around one religion and their god will murder other innocent people who help eachother day in and day out to live safely. It’s illogical.

Final note; I believe somewhere in this wall of text you can see how she seems to be isolated. She has access to the internet, she can go on youtube out of all places, but she can’t find a single strand of evidence that was held up in court and a quick visit to BBC.com? Funny, even more funny that at the kingdom hall they actually use court speeches and such all the time to have it in their favour and context of what their discussion is about. She also claims anyone who speaks ill or criticises the religion has been fed “propaganda” but refuses to go further with that statement. This isn’t nit-picking, this is serious psychology damage at play and I’m just on my road of recovery and yet it’s so scary how influenced it can be.

Take care, James. And I’m looking forward to the next article you post!
