Thank you so much for your articles. I’m a disfellowshipped Jehovah’s Witness. My first husband abandoned me and my son and dating without a “legal” divorce was considered a sin. I thus sinned and was booted off. I’m still disfellowshipped for being with my now legal 2nd husband. Anyway, after reading your articles and following up with some research, I can proudly say that I have no desire to ever be a Jehovah’s Witness. I wasn’t raised a Jehovah’s Witnesses, but I was molested from age 4 until some time after starting kindergarten (the exact age it ended is fuzzy for me as it is blurred with legal issues and living arrangements). I was one of the lucky ones and had a mother that fought to protect myself and my younger siblings (horrifyingly enough I was the oldest of 3). After being educated on the true ways of Jehovah’s Witnesses, I will never go back. After telling others, I’ve met my share of the phrase, “Then you’ll never see your mother again!” (She died when she was 42, and I was 21, several years ago.) To which I replied, “Good! I would gladly walk into eternal destruction than have the guilt of helping pedophiles on my hands!” … I have lost ties with many people that I know, and my current husband is now wary of me. However, I know that no God would hold half the compassion of me or half the forgiveness. If Jehovah is real, he can fix and save even the man that hurt me and my younger brothers. No god like that would destroy victims of such pain and sorrow. Those poor girls (and boys) deserve our tears, support, and simpothy. … Thank you for educating me. I know that you are a loving and protecting person from your articles, and I hope that you find motivation to continue your work if only to help naive ones like myself to see the truth. The real Jehovah will bless you for your efforts to protect the little ones.

JWs are shameless in not only their refusal to apologize, but immediately after the Australian RC, they have the gall to create a video – with a woman with an Australian accent no less – praising how their organization “helps” abuse victims.Yes, it’s also ironic how they boast of such love for neighbor – at the same time unleashing over 1000 pedophiles on them! I hope JWs quickly become the world’s most hated religion. No ‘persecution’ here, just punishment for being one of the worst human rights violators and destroyers of children. Great article, Alex!
