The Russian government has made their activities illegal and there has been some harassment of JWs, but they’re not in concentration camps or being put to death. They need to turn their properties over to the state, they might get arrested and pay a fine, and there’s been some vandalism of their buildings.

If ‘Yahweh’ is the more correct way, it follows that ‘Jehovah’ is not really God’s name. I suspect their real reason for retaining the form ‘Jehovah’ was because Rutherford had named the religion Jehovah’s Witnesses.
